Miramonte Moments in Palm Desert
Last month, I decided to take a little getaway to one of my favorite places…Palm Springs! I’ve visited Palm Springs 6 times this year, and I can honestly say that each time has been so unique. If you haven’t spent a weekend there, I totally recommend it as your next destination! If you live in LA, as I do, Palm Springs is just a short 2 - 2.5 hour drive away.
On one of my last trips to Palm Springs, I decided to check out Indian Wells, and ended up at the Miramonte Indian Wells Resort & Spa. Truthfully, I had such a relaxing stay that I couldn’t wait to go back! So when my best friend, Kameron and I decided we were ready for our next getaway, we knew Miramonte would be the place.
Palm Springs is known for its colorful backdrops and playful resorts steeped with Hollywood history. What I love about Miramonte is that the resort transports you to a whole new world of Spanish-Colonial-style dreams! The 11-acre resort is surrounded by citrus groves, herb gardens and colorful paths leading to each building, so much so that I was constantly reminding myself that we were still in the desert.
Ready to check in? The lobby has a very Western feel, with mixes of leather and wood accents that welcome you in and bring in that desert feel to the main lobby building. Their incredible front desk team let us know that our room was ready early (always the best news to start off a vacation) and that our room was located in one of the rear buildings. So we made our way down one of the winding paths, past the stunning pool — one of three— (which is one of the largest I’ve seen in Palm Springs) and into one of their ivy-covered villas that truly felt like Tuscany — not Palm Springs! Relaxation was awaiting us.
Now onto the fun part. Miramonte offers so many dining options, activities (like yoga classes and bicycle rentals), spa packages, and access to some of the best golf courses in California. We had the opportunity to experience both the Tavern Bar and their main restaurant, Citrus & Palm, which serves farm-to-table dishes inspired by the local cuisine. We also ordered room service — duh, which made for an amazing breakfast on our room’s back patio!
Miramonte offers on-sight Golf Concierge to set you up with tee time, if you’re looking to play. The Indian Wells Golf Resort is directly across the street from the resort — a less than 10 minute walk. Believe me, even if you’re not an avid golf (I am very much a novice myself), it’s something you’ll enjoy experiencing. The Indian Wells Resort golf courses are part of the top-rated courses in the United States!
The Well Spa at Miramonte features 9 treatment rooms, with the option to choose from different services or wellness packages. Whether you spend some time relaxing in one of their soaking pools, or opt for one of their body treatments, there’s no better place to re-center yourself than surrounded by the breathtaking mountains of the desert.
Although Kameron and I only stayed one night, we were able to fit in so many activities AND find some time to kick back our feet by the pool and catch some sun. If you’re looking for a unique experience in the Palm Springs area, I cannot recomment Miramonte Indian Wells Resort & Spa more. Have you been? I want to hear about your #MiramoneMoments!
